Architecture

Decision log

Technology choices

What each technology is responsible for, and why it belongs in this project.

TechnologyResponsibilityWhy this choice
C# / .NET

ResponsibilityWorkflow and document logic

Why this choiceIt fits the existing Windows office environment and gives the project a strong desktop and document-processing ecosystem.

WPF

ResponsibilityMulti-window desktop UI

Why this choiceThe work is form-heavy and keyboard-oriented. Native Windows windows are a better fit here than a browser-shaped interface.

SQLite

ResponsibilityLocal configuration and reusable data

Why this choiceA single-user desktop tool does not need a database server. One local file keeps installation and backup understandable.

Templates + snippets

ResponsibilityOffice-specific variability

Why this choiceLegal wording changes more often than the application shell. Keeping it as editable content avoids a rebuild for every adjustment.
